I'm on the mailing list for the Veggie café and keep seeing the info on their BYO meals. Anyone been to one?

Next one is Indian night - 3 course inlcuding tea or coffee, BYO, £20 2 sittings (6:30 or 8:30).

In fact I've only actually been there once or twice, when it first opened, and I found the service very slow - but I guess they may have ironed that out now.

Oops - sorry - thoguht I'd typed it out once. My writing skills are worthy of WMG...

Yes, JoJoBean's right, it's bring your own, as in bring your own wine/beer. All the curry houses we went to as students were BYO. (sighs)

That's more than I pay in a Bradford curry house! Is it good value in Ilkley? The only curries I have had there have been the ones provided by the venues I have produced shows in, so I have no idea as to your prices.

Is that a sigh for lost and golden days of yore, or for the hard times when thy wer 'lass?

I thought it was quite expensive - but wasn't sure if they were such good quality that it was worth it? Anyone?

And definitely a nostalgic sigh!

Never been there, not a vegetarian myself but Jess who works for me is a vegetarian and when I put veggie meals on the menu at the deli/bistro I usually run it past her first, if she likes it, it goes on. Good ol Jess!!

Nor am I, but I don't have any principles about it - as long as the carrots are humanely extracted from the ground I don't mind eating veggie once in a while...

Anyway, as there isn't anyone who can recommend it, I'm not coughing up £20!!

I went there for a sandwich one lunch time with my OH and little boy (he was only a baby at the time).

The food was very tasty - I'm not a veggie.

I seem to remember it was quite expensive though.

Is it £20 per person - that does seem a lot!
