Martha & Vincents is no more?......... Tables removed & piled on top of each other..... letter box sealed up. I'd link to think its just in preparation for varnishing the floorboards?

What a shame. Mrs Bumpkin and I were gonna go at some stage, hope it is just for redecorating or something like that, it doesen't say anything on their website about closing.

Menu looks quite good too!

My other half and I went a couple of times and the food was lovely. We have frequently chatted though about how quiet it is most nights. I have no idea how they have managed to keep going as long as they have.

Echo all of that, Cazza, unfortunately including the number of empty seats - let's hope it's a refurb and not the pruning of over-capacity at their end of the market.

That's good news KC..... and also a useful prompt for those like myself who have been intending to go but haven't got round to it just yet. Perhaps we should trample that newly-varnished floor sooner rather than later? If we don't use we may yet loose?

I'm sure the R&C could be a lovely pub. Never been tempted to go in there though - anywhere that feels it needs to have a 'disco' thing is not my cup of tea.

Looks very much like the florists on Leeds Road next to the veggies cafe has closed down!
A real shame again. That shop hasn't had much luck in recent years has it? Not been a real success since it was the deli.

Am I right in thinking Ilkley does not have a night club at the moment? If I am right then you need one. If I am wrong I cannot see any reason not to have another. The only thing about the site is that the entrance should be at the back, the Church St pavement is too narrow.
