I made some very kind, supportive friends here back when I was working at Hide bar (until its untimely demise...)!

I just wanted to update you on the progress of my band, The Bacchae.

We released our EP on Saturday at a brilliant launch party in Leeds and its now available to download on itunes, amazon or you can pick up a hard copy (recommended!!) from HERE and even a t-shirt if ya fancy!!

We're playing Ilkley band stand on 7th August for the festival! Can't wait!!

Hmmm - I'm getting a hint of early P J Harvey, with an undertone of something else I can't quite put my finger on at the moment.

Thanks guys... we often get compared to Shocking Blue and Jefferson Airplane though I'd say neither is intentional... all good though

I bet you've not been smacked in the face with the ugly shovel though! I use John Street/Morrisons in Bradford as the measure, and that is the undisputed top branch of ugliness in the UK, and I have spent years of my life traveling and trying to find higher.

I will be at the bandstand to see you, probably with a pie, trying to sell tickets to the Ilkley Festival Uncut Fringe.

btw. Which festival are you?

I only noticed the youtube thing after I posted, and it confirms that the ugly shovel has never been near you.

If you want to be the first musical part of the Ilkley Festival Uncut Fringe all you need is a venue, and I can make suggestions. The rest is easy, you'll get an audience just by posting on here, even if there is not a woza new site just for me and thee, and if you don't do it on National Poetry Day, 8th Oct. when I'm doing my show, I'll pay to see you).

Stupid me, its very Long Blondes of course (first, not second LP)...but that might be influenced by the lyrics of Thirteen.

How about getting a name check for Ilkley More into the next album - if the KC's can do it for Highroyds surely you can mention your earliest supporters...........woza would be more than grateful.
