TOPIC: Boiler Cover

Boiler Cover 5 Months, 1 Week ago Karma: 0
So with a 10 day wait for my EON boiler cover engineer to come out I'm beginning to think it's time to give up on boiler cover. My worry has always been the delay of getting a local engineer should I get a breakdown, but can't be worse than this!

So, anyone recommend a decent gas man who can service the boiler and gas fire yearly in summer and attend reasonably quickly to any breakdown that might occur? I'm sure it'll be cheaper than heating cover in the long run.

All help appreciated.

Phil Argyle (600349) is thorough, punctual and polite. Not the cheapest I wouldn't imagine, but very knowledgable and gives sound advice.

We have used Mick Taylor from Silsden (07977 325948) for all gas related work. Honest and prices seem reasonable. Like you we decided to give up on the service contract. Whilst I have nightmares about the cost of replacing the boiler am sure we are saving money in the long run.

I agree, he would be honest and not rip you off, if he says you need something, then you need it, he comes into the deli regularly, we're thinking of having the ceiling raised to accomodate him (if you read this Phil - only joking)

You could of course try......... No maybe not
