I was walking my dog the other night and walked along the old stone bridge; I stopped, turned off my music, and listened to the river. As I have done nearly everyday for over a year now. My ears were greeted by the sound of rushing water, the same sound I’ve listened to for over a year now, but it was accompanied by what I can only describe as animalistic grunting.
I largely ignored it, but my dog did no such thing. After scampering off into the bushes she proceeded to bark her curly little head off at something that what was apparently quite alarming.
I went to find out what Barb was barking at; as I got closer the barking got louder and the animalistic barking transformed into exclamations of rage with notes of confusion and an earthy finish of aggression on the palate - served below room temperature.
The local homeless man, who I know as Switters (no idea what his real name is, as I maintain my distance with schizophrenics and meth-addicts), has apparently found himself a female friend. She isn’t exactly an oil painting, but Switters is dipping his toe in warmer waters than most of my friends in their growing age.
What I came here for was to discuss how we rid our town of public nudity, drugs, and how best to prevent the mentally ill from freely roaming about an otherwise safe town.

I have to be honest, after reading about dear old 'switters' fornicating with some horror hag, I vomited. This is Ilkley for Gods sake! where this sort of base, animalistic behaviour is barely acceptable even in the privacy of ones own home. To be quite frank with smiling monkey, setting his dog on them was the very least he could do. Perhaps next time a pack of hounds would be more appropriate

See, I’m torn.
On one hand I admire the man for transcending his socio-economic status and getting a lady friend. But on the other hand I’m utterly repulsed that such activity goes on within the steep walls of this valley town; perhaps I should pay less attention to the human brains attraction to polarities and see the subtleties of life.
I spotted Switters coming out of a building today. Perhaps he isn’t so homeless after all. All his bags were outside and he came out of the door, picked up his worldly belongings and walked park-wards. The other possibilities I thought of were that either the lady took in old Switters as fair exchange for sexual favours, or he was buying drugs from whoever was inside.

Just a few things come to mind after reading your post
How do you know that 'Switters' is a schitzophrenic? Perhaps you are a trained mental health profesional who is able to make an instant diagnosis of this illness. I would be interested to know. Also, do you have any evidence that he is a 'meth addict'? If not, I suggest that you do not state this in a public forum. Even homeless people have a right not to be defamed in this way. Finally, 'Switters' may be mentally ill - please tell us why he is 'unsafe' and why we need to rid him from our town? Has he threatened you in any way? Has he acted agressively towards you?
Mental illness is something that many of us will experience during our lives. I just hope that you are not one of them, otherwise people might just start to hound you too...

Good God it's probably the only joy he's encountered for some time!! Give him a break! If it's who I think it is, I come across him often in the town centre. He seems a lovely guy. It's easy for you all to judge him while more than likely watching porn or subjecting your long suffering wives to something you refer to as 'sex'!! Now THAT'S where a pack of hounds is required - to break up that sorry affair!
