Why did the parents go through all this and then their daughter is doing her exams in another school?

Regarding the question of drugs, alcohol included - I think it is reasonable to expect them not to be allowed in schools. If you are an adult and make the decision to take them so be it - but children should (dare I say it) be protected.

And yes I have partaken of illegal substances in the past - surely no-one who went to art college could be expected not to??

I guess the appeals process takes quite some time, so the parents (and their daughter) presumably felt that getting some schooling in the interim might not be such a bad idea.

And once the whole thing was over, with IGS being to concede that they were wrong, and after the media storm and ramblings on i-m.com, would you want to go back to the same school with the same headteacher?

Of course she went to a different school!

And winning the appeal looks better on her academic record.

Maybe if she does badly in her exams she could sue the school for emotional distress and loss of future earnings?
