I guess the appeals process takes quite some time, so the parents (and their daughter) presumably felt that getting some schooling in the interim might not be such a bad idea.
And once the whole thing was over, with IGS being to concede that they were wrong, and after the media storm and ramblings on i-m.com, would you want to go back to the same school with the same headteacher?
Of course she went to a different school!
And winning the appeal looks better on her academic record.
